As a Mechanical Engineer at Tractian, you'll drive the innovation and development of our IIoT solutions. Collaborating across teams, you'll apply your expertise in mechanics and design to create high-performance products that redefine industrial asset management. From concept to execution, your role will shape Tractian's industry-leading technology, ensuring top-tier quality and functionality in every solution we deliver.

Responsabilities

Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed models and drawings of components and assemblies.

Employ CAE tools and techniques to perform FEA simulations, including Moldflow, Fatigue, Thermal, structural, and Modal Analyses.

Analyze simulation results to evaluate product performance, identify potential issues, and recommend design improvements.

Collaborate with the design team to optimize product designs for factors such as strength, durability, and thermal performance.

Provide guidance on material selection based on specs and test results to enhance product performance and reliability.

Design part for manufacturing (DFM), deal with manufacturer capabilities and have a strong understand about manufacturing processes, such as machining and plastic injection

Prototype and test mechanical designs to validate performance and functionality, iterating as necessary.

Participate in design reviews to provide valuable insights, feedback, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

+3 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in the technology or manufacturing sector.

Strong understanding in CAE software tools, such as ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, COMSOL, or similar.

Strong understanding of mechanics, materials science, and design principles.

Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar tools.

strong understand about manufacturing processes, such as machining and plastic injection

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Reading and Writing English proficiency.

Bonus points

Experience with microcasting and sintering.

Familiarity with plastic materials.

Experience in the IoT or industrial equipment sector is advantageous.
