Data Science at TRACTIAN

The Data organization develops infrastructure, statistical models, and products using IoT data. Our Scientists and Engineers work together to make data—and insights derived from data—a core asset across the company. Our work is ingrained in Tractian’s decision-making process, in the efficiency of our operations and insights, and in the industry-leading experience we provide our consumers.


What you'll do

As a Principal Data Scientist, you will be the technical powerhouse behind our data science initiatives, utilizing your extensive knowledge and experience to tackle our most complex data challenges. Your role will involve developing innovative, cutting-edge data models and algorithms, driving the advancement of our data capabilities, and ensuring the highest level of data science expertise is applied to all projects.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy advanced data models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.

Lead the research and development of new data science methodologies and approaches.

Perform high-level data analysis and predictive modeling on large datasets.

Innovate and implement state-of-the-art machine learning techniques.

Collaborate with various teams to integrate advanced data science into business processes.

Provide technical guidance and insight on data science projects.

Continuously evaluate and adapt new technologies to enhance data analytics capabilities.

Requirements

PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.

10+ years of experience in data science, with a deep focus on advanced statistical analysis and machine learning.

Expert-level proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).

Extensive experience in predictive modeling, data mining, and statistical analysis.

Demonstrated ability to apply complex data science techniques to practical business problems.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent data presentation and communication skills.

Bonus Points

Contributions to open-source data science projects.

Experience in real-time data processing and analytics.

Fluent in English.
